Terms and Conditions

You agree to receive recurring automated marketing and informational text (e.g., SMS and MMS) messages from the 48th Accountability Project, including messages that may be sent using an automatic telephone dialing system, to the mobile telephone number you provided when signing up or any other number that you designate. All message types you may receive—including informational updates, volunteer outreach, and recurring marketing messages—are collectively referred to as the “Programs.” Consent to receive automated marketing text messages is not a condition of any purchase or contribution.

Cost
Msg & Data rates may apply. Please consult your mobile carrier for rate information.

Message Frequency
Message frequency may vary. The 48th Accountability Project reserves the right to adjust the frequency of messages at any time, including increasing or decreasing the number of messages sent. We also reserve the right to change the phone number or short code from which messages are sent. Not all mobile devices or carriers may be supported, and messages may not be deliverable in all areas. Carriers and service providers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Cancellation
If you no longer wish to participate in any Program or no longer agree to these Terms, you may opt out at any time by replying STOP, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, or QUIT to any message received. You may receive a final confirmation message acknowledging your opt-out request. You understand and agree that these are the only reasonable methods of opting out. Requests made through other means, including verbal requests or alternative text responses, will not be processed as valid opt-out requests. If you are subscribed to multiple Programs or numbers, you must opt out of each individually.

Support
For assistance, reply HELP to any message or contact us at [INSERT EMAIL ADDRESS]. Please note that contacting us via email or texting HELP is not a valid method for opting out. Opt-out requests must follow the procedures described above.

Privacy
Except as described in this section, the 48th Accountability Project does not sell, rent, loan, trade, lease, or otherwise transfer for profit any phone numbers collected through the Programs to any third party.
